If this is the guy that's running the company, I would sell my stock tomorrow morning.

This is a quote from Doug Morris in a NY Magazine article:

"There's no one in the record industry that's a technologist," Morris
explains. "That's a misconception writers make all the time, that the record
industry missed this. They didn't. They just didn't know what to do. It's like
if you were suddenly asked to operate on your dog to remove his kidney. What
would you do?"

The correct answer is the recording industry *did* miss the mark. Further, Morris failed his stockholders because he did not take action. What would I do? I would hire someone who had a clue. If you don't know how to hire them, hire someone you trust to do it for you.

eneloop batteries - eneloop is a rechargeable battery.

Sony is offering a special PowerPack at Costco that includes a four position charger, 8 AA, 4 AAA, as well as two C and D size adapters (you can put four AA batteries into the adapters and use them as C and D batteries).

The neat thing about the eneloop over traditional NiMH batteries is they retain their charge longer on the shelf.  I just started testing  (AA in a digital camera and AAA in my voice recorder).  I will post a follow-up after I have some real world experience and stats.
