product selection wizard for cameras and PDA/Phones

My Product Advisor

I tested the camera and pda/smartphone advisor. Its OK, but none of the phones it selected for me are available on the Verizon network. Duh.

Cameras were OK, but you would have to futz with it a lot to dial in exactly what you need. Not bad if your starting from scratch or want to brainstorm regarding new products to consider.

Ok, you guys will know. Under a bash shell, you get "You have new mail" notifications, which are very nice. But is there a way to change it to say "You have new mail from XXX, subject YYY". Having to stop work, flip over to a mail application, and check for importance, is a pain. There must be a way. C'mon Unix people.

Danny's right: over time, it all comes back to the shell.

TinyURL is awesome. You can add it to your toolbar (IE only?) and auto-generate links from a page. I find I'm using it daily.
