I Found an article on Tom's Hardware site (URL below) on the "Ultimate PC Toolkit". I was browsing it until I came across the following line:

"The MasterCart, when fully assembled, also integrates the ability to tow the cart behind you using its built-in handle and wheel technology, like an upright piece of luggage. "

This reminded me of Dan. All he needs for travel at this point is a toolkit on wheels.

I went through my old CD-ROM's in the family room two nights ago. I packed all my production CD's into a big CD case just like you and Dan have. I also had about 150-200 CD's that were ready for the trash. Barb turns to me and says "You want to be like Dan?", then goes back to watching TV.

I am not sure if this is good or bad.

Sarah picked up a few of the CD's and was deciding if she should glue them to her wall, or keep them as frisbee's for school.

Gotta fly, but I like this toolbox as a place to put all the PC crap and special tools I have accumulated. Do you know where to get a monster toolkit like this? I don't need one on wheels, but it *would* be useful to have one I could transport (versus carry).

Documented all available servers using the following:
srvinfo - saved to file, used script to automate the process.
CIS - Cerberus Internet Scanner - used the checks below against all servers. Could not run as a batch, but it saves the report as an HTML file for future reference.
NT Checks
NetBIOS Checks
MS SQL Checks
Used Win2K Computer Management to save the System Information for each server. Very comprehensive, but requires some Windows rights we didn't have and its slow over the WAN.

System-State Backup Does Not Include AD When Using MSDSS [Q315536] - MSDSS needs to be run on a separate DS so it doesn't bugger AD or impact production.

MMS - Microsoft Metadirectory Service. This is only available through VAR's and its a way to integrate multiple directory services within an organization.

Office XP SP-2 install, testing and download
Downloaded SolarWind Engineer Edition, installed and scanned network after failing to run Visio Enterprise Edition Network Discovery due to unknown SNMP name. Scanned network, discovered a router with 'public' community name and used as seed router for Visio network discovery.
Reviewed e-mail flow with Jim, confirmed MX records for routed domains, found and documented errors.

yet another test - updated the file name and Blogger settings.
yikes - ftp remembers last current directory, which is screwing up Blogger posting.
