I tried to configure a LinkSys WPC11 PC Card on a Thinkpad running Windows 98.
I hate Windows 98. It is evil.
However, what do you do when you have a box with 64 Meg of RAM? I never got the Linksys to work without blue screens and the latest (only) driver download from Linksys states the release is for Win2K and XP. What's a geek to do?
I installed my Orinoco card in about fifteen minutes (Win98 TCP/IP drivers and other nonsense). The only thing left is to fix the IE 5.5 lockdown (it was a corporate PC in another life). I might need to hack at the registry or run policy editor. The last time I taught a Win98 course was probably 1997 or 1998. Ugh.
