Microsoft Security Essentials
Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) is a free anti-virus from Microsoft. I am finding it appears to work at least as well as ClamWin, Avast!, and Symantec. I have installed and tested it on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit Edition and Windows 7 Basic 32 bit Edition, and Windows XP SP3 32 bit Edition.
On the Windows XP workstations, MSE discovered several trojan’s (MP3 and WMV files) previously undetected using Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.
