This is something we discussed at home. The House and Senate has one of the most comprehensive and least expensive health care benefit programs available. Why shouldn’t they consider actually using a government-run health care plan. If it’s good enough for the average US Citizen, it should be good enough for our elected representatives.
Health care and retirement are my family’s two biggest concerns. Sarah lost my health benefits when she graduated from Georgia Tech. Now she does not have a job (anyone looking for a Chemical and Biomolecular Engineer?) and COBRA will cost just under $400 per month.
