Very simply, this site allows you to opt-out of receiving telephone directories - both Yellow Pages and White Pages. We have had some discussions within our home regarding telephone directories, but the last time I attempted to use the Yellow Pages, it was an exercise in frustration. Not only was it difficult to figure out what section/sub-section I needed to search, but I ended up using Google anyway.
This is also a cautionary tail for both Yellow Pages and small businesses.
For Yellow Pages, your days are numbered. I'm a technology person, but I have not found your directory useful at all in the past five years. Others will follow.
For small businesses, if you don't have an online presence, or if customers can't locate basic information about your company through a simple search, you are losing business.

What the folks at YellowPagesGoesGreen are doing is great stuff. Most likely will NOT stop the Yellow Pages from arriving on your doorstep. At least not yet. But, if you no longer want the Yellow Pages delivered - definitely sign up with these guys.
