Olympus W-10 Voice Album Software
I just went on a search of the Internet to find software for my Olympus W-10 digital recorder and camera. I found some rip-off usb-drivers.com download site that requires you to register for dozens of what appear to be SPAM sources. BTW - I registered Karl Rove at whitehouse.gov and that appeared to work, but even then I got into a circular loop and never got to the driver download.
Anyhow, to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else, I found my original driver CD and Zipped all the files so everyone can have them.
BTW - these are not available on any Olympus support site, and I realize this device is at least 8 years old, so I'm posting them for general consumption and will contact Olympus.

The computer I need to put my audio files on doesn't have internet, so I can put these on my flash drive and install it on that computer. Someone had their head on their shoulders for once.

The last time I had lost my original disk for my W-10, Olympus wanted to charge me $45.00 for it, I told them that it was rediculous to pay $45 for a driver for a $99.00 device. The tech agreed and sent me a free copy.
Still no upgrade for vista, I guess they just want to sell more new devices

I too have Olympus W-10 digital recorder and CD with drivers but that are compatible only with Windows 98, 2000 and XP like the one you posted here. It happens that my laptob uses Windows Vista because of what CD drives are of not use to me. What to do? Is there any way to fix the problem?

Never has so much been owed by so many to so few for so much! My son asked me if I'd sell this old recorder on my shelf and I said he could have it. But it would not connect as the software is missing. Olympus are no help and I though unless I found the disk I'm lost.
But then google found you and I'm saved. I can't believe some sad troll at Olympus hasn't yet got the legals to prevent you from doing your kind selfless deeds. So shhh, let's hope they never find you and W10 users keep on enjoying your service.

I have the disk (somewhere) but this just makes it so much easier than tearing up the place to find my original :) I have -another- W10 coming in the mail from eBay. $1.43 with $9.00 shipping. LOL! But these recoders are SUPPOSED to be good at recording EVP. I havent used my first one yet. I have a Panasonic RR-DR60 and a Sony ICD-B7 that I am using now. The DR60 is BEST (but rare and expensive to find) the B7 does work but I haven't used it much so far. Try the evp recordings guys. Download "Audacity" for free online to allow modifications to the file as needed (and to store in wav or Mp3 format) Download from www.audacity.sourceforge.net/ *it will require an EXTRA step to allow for MP3 save file options. Be sure and leave 15 to 30 seconds of space while asking questions to give the "voices" time to answer :) Good Luck. And -YES- this stuff is for real. Might take you awhile to find them (or they find you)....place doesn't need to be haunted. The spirits are everywhere. Day or night doesn't matter. In or out of the house. Must use headphones on the uploaded recording, as these voices CAN and mostly are very difficult to hear. But at times CAN be louder than your own voice! Note: you will only be able to hear the EVP-voices after playback.

That's great, I also searched a lot cause I lost my original CD, but Olympus made available on their official site just some useless shit for this model, some stupid plugins but not the very driver! I really can't understand the policy of these companies, it's not only Olympus but all of them who do the same! Thanks a lot, Paul!!!
Couldn't find my old setup disk after wiping the laptop, due to malware. I write songs and fill up my W-10 every few weeks. Very important. Thanks so much!

Paul, bless you for trying to do something so simple to help out people and it works! You saved me once, but sadly there is no driver for Vista, and I can only assume Win7 too. And why should these companies help out when it will only force you to buy more stuff? I'm off to pick up a Sony today. (They record in MP3 as well.) Thank you.

Regarding Windows 7 and Vista support - I will test Win7 this week, I know there is an issue with Vista.
The only suggestion I have is to try Virtual PC running XP. You can configure a very small image (min memory and disk), and I know this will work. It's a kludge, but it works.
I *think* I received my W-10 recorder around 1996, so this is one of the issues you have with 14 year old hardware.

I tried the above suggestion but still cannot get vista to detect. i can see the .dll file in the folder but when I try and search for it using the add hardware option the .dll no longer appears in the folder. I'm running windows vista
