Microsoft has revamped its Research web site. They have RSS feeds now (yeah!) as well as a new interface. I liked to visit 1-2 times a month, but the RSS feed will make it much easier to keep current.
Microsoft keeps getting beat up because they are the 800 lb gorilla these days. However, with the consolidation of major corporations, we see fewer and fewer pure research facilities Sarnoff (old RCA research lab) is no longer, Bell Labs is a cost center now, TJ Watson still lives and now Microsoft is pouring lots of money and talent into pure research. They should be praised for this insight since no one else is doing so in 2004.
